Career Beginnings

Originating from Dublin, Ireland, Conor Sheppard is a creative and resilient DJ who tastefully selects tracks that toe the line between underground dance music and music that caters to the more casual music listener. With 12+ years of DJing and being a lifelong musician & music lover, he has a wealth of musical knowledge that helps him understand this important balance and select the right songs for the right moments based on the crowd in front of him. He specialises in House, UK Garage, Disco, Funk, Hip Hop, RnB and Party Classics but can also play a wider range of genres including 60s, 70s, 80s, Indie, Rock, Punk, Post-Punk and many more.

Music Project & Releases

East London-based for the best part of a decade now, here he has been cultivating his music project, MANTA, a moniker under which he releases tracks that blur the lines between different genres, giving him his unique sound. He occasionally performs live utilising guitar, keys, MIDI instruments and Ableton Live to bring his music to life on stage. His music has been blogged online and is available for listening on the Hype Machine, as well as Spotify, Apple Music and all other major streaming platforms.

Dublin

Conor has played at some of the largest clubs in his home capital of Dublin, including The Academy, Twisted Pepper and Button Factory to crowds of hundreds, supporting well-known international acts for some of the more popular club nights in the city. It is here where he cut his teeth many years ago to learn the art of mixing and become a versatile multi-genre DJ. Rest assured, he can be counted on to draw customers in with great tunes, build the vibe and keep the crowd dancing all night.

London

He is currently a resident DJ and event organiser at Bread & Butter Collection in Shoreditch, a vintage clothing store and event space and has also DJ’d at the brand’s warehouse parties in Hackney Wick over the summer months. He is a very active DJ, both in playing live and in making sure to record his mixes and make them available online to his followers. Check out his Mixcloud to hear the types of tunes he plays and his mixing ability. Here you will find some recent mixes with all of the latest tunes and also some mixes Conor did over a decade ago which still stand the test of time and could be played out to keep crowds engaged even today.
